3RD ANNUAL TASTINGS UNDER THE TIMBERS: CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF IMPACT

On Thursday October 9, 2025, we gathered around 200 supporters, partners, friends, staff, and alumni to celebrate our 3rd annual Tastings Under the Timbers.
This year was extra special, as we celebrated "30 Years of Impact"!
The magical evening, included delicious dishes and desserts prepared by our restaurant partners 1906, Del Pez, Food Bank of DE, Grain, La Pizzeria Metro, Platinum Dining Group/Hearth Kitchen, Sleeping Bird Coffee, and Talula's Table; tasty beverages provided by Moore Brothers, Painted Stave, Triple Bottom Brewing, Wilmington Brew Works, and Yards Brewing; and smooth jazz sounds by E. Shawn Qaissaunee.
We were thrilled to recognize our 2025 Alumni Awardee, Michael Santana, and to celebrate the long-term dedication and service of our Senior Instructor, Vince Hernandez. We thank our speakers, State Senator Darius Brown, Board Chair Charlie Copeland, and Secretary of Labor LaKresha Moultrie. The event raised critical general operating funds which will support our programs in the coming year. We hope you can join us next year on Thursday, October 8, 2026. Stay tuned for updates!

2024 TASTINGS UNDER THE TIMBERS
On Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 6 PM, under the beautiful timber frame of our new Gibbs Center furniture shop, we held our 2nd Annual Tastings Under the Timbers. Over 200 supporters, partners, friends, staff, and alumni gathered to recognize the impact that we have made collectively over the past year. Our restaurant and beverage partners served delectable dishes and drinks to the soothing sounds of Shawn Q and Scott. Mayor Michael Purzycki, State Senator Darius Brown, Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester, and County Executive Matthew Meyer delivered inspirational speeches. And we recognized Deja Green, our 2024 Alumni Awardee - she is the true inspiration to all of us!
